General Experience

Mr. Latta became SAI’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2006. His leadership and managerial skills were developed as he was mentored under former COO, Mr. John Ruddy. While maintaining and growing client relationships, Mr. Latta adds to the dynamic uniqueness of SAI. His presence and growth under John Ruddy’s mentorship has strengthened the corporate structure at SAI, by reinforcing the Total Quality Leadership model commitment from the top, partnering with, and empowering, the team members. In addition to his managerial duties, Mr. Latta is actively involved in the marketing of our services and the structural design of many of SAI's projects.

Mr. Latta received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from UT Martin in 1998. During his time at UT Martin, he was employed from 1996-97 as a Student Trainee Engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District. Mr. Latta also holds a Master of Science degree from Auburn University with a concentration of study in structural dynamics and earthquake engineering. While at Auburn, Mr. Latta served as Graduate Research Assistant, providing support to faculty members in research projects as well as instruction of undergraduate courses. His major research project consisted of static and dynamic finite element analyses.
