General Experience
Since joining SAI in
October of 2006 he has worked on a new 256,000 sq. ft. six-story hospital in
southern California and a one-story reinforced concrete shielding room with an
adjacent steel framed office building in Utah. Both of these projects are
located in high seismic areas and are designed for large lateral loads.
Prior to joining SAI
he gained three years of experience working in the high seismic area of southern
California on a variety of commercial and institutional building projects.
Project types that he was involved with include a six-story light gauge steel
apartment building, steel and concrete buildings and underground concrete
parking garage walls and deck slabs. He has also spent time working on custom
residential projects, mainly of wood construction in northern California in and
around the Lake Tahoe mountain area where some of the largest snow loads occur.
When not designing a
building’s structure he can be found down by the lake fishing with his wife,
Mandy.
