General Experience
Mr. Kennedy joined SAI in the beginning of 2006 upon receiving his Master of Science degree from the University of Missouri.  While enrolled in graduate studies, he served as a teaching assistant to his advisor, Dr. Hani Salim.  Additionally, he maintained a research fellowship through the United States Air Force whereby he published a thesis outlining an evaluation of thin steel sheets for the retrofit of masonry walls subjected to blast loading.  He completed his research and thesis in parallel with his graduate curriculum.   

Since joining SAI, Mr. Kennedy has been directly involved in the design of several low-rise and mid-rise hospitals, office buildings, hotels, and schools.  Under the supervision and direction of the professional engineers at SAI, he has gained invaluable experience in the structural design of buildings utilizing all major construction materials.  He has become proficient at several analysis and modeling programs including RAM Structural System, ETABS, SAP 2000, AutoCAD, Enercalc, EXCEL, and MATLAB.  Also, Mr. Kennedy has acquired substantial experience in the fields of structural dynamics and vibration analysis during his tenure at SAI.
