General Experience
Mr. Wood
joined SAI on July 14, 2008 upon receiving his Master of Science degree
from the Missouri University of Science and Technology (formerly University of
Missouri – Rolla). In graduate school, he served as a research assistant under
his advisor, Dr. Genda Chen. Additionally, he served as a teaching assistant
for the department’s Structural Analysis classes. Funded by the California
Department of Transportation, he published a thesis entitled “Experimental
Validation of an Integrated FRP and Visco-elastic Hardening, Damping, and
Wave-modulating System for Blast Resistance Enhancement of RC Columns.” He was
also involved in research pertaining to an innovative crack sensor that is
embedded in reinforced concrete structures.
